Additional Information for Detailing Services in Ventura County

Auto Clay Bar Treatment

Clay bar treatment takes out like impurities and small artifacts. This also includes overspray removal, compounding, paint corrections, wheel polishing which includes polishing aluminum and polishing chrome. We also wash and detail bikes and motorcycles such as Harley Davidson and we can do all the same services we do for cars or other vehicles, it’s just on a smaller scale.

Headlight Restoration

Headlight restoration is for when the lamp or headlamps on the car either look icy or they’re yellow like they have plaque film over them. We have to sand that film off. We go through and we sand from 320 dry all the way up to 3000 wet and then we buff them out. We both wet and dry sand using each sand paper grit from 320, 500, 800, 1000 and then 3000. 1000 and 3000 are both wet sandpapers. We tape off all the area around the headlight and make sure nothing else gets touched with the sandpaper. All the old debris is sanded off—it looks like plaque.

Auto Interior Reconditioning Service

The interior reconditioning service involves carpeting, shampooing, upholstery shampooing, leather cleaning and conditioning and hot water extraction (also known as steam cleaning). The water gets really hot and it pulls up any of the stains. A hot water extractor is also known as steam cleaning to some people, however it can be easily confused with a steamer.

The treatment is very effective but for cases where something is extremely dirty or soiled not everything is guaranteed.

But, what a steamer is going to do is only clean the top surface. With the extractor we shampoo it, scrub it and we get all the way down. It has two pumps so it shoots hot water into your carpet and then the vacuum actually has two vacuums. The vacuum extracts all the old shampoo, dirt and water out of the carpet, so that way the carpet isn’t left with any residue or shampoo inside it. The hot water extractor also contains two heaters which heat up to 210 degrees.

Paintless Ding Repair

For paintless ding repairs we heat the area of the paint because the paint is what’s hard to stretch. The metal is easy to stretch but the paint is more difficult. This is important because the paint will crack if you don’t heat it. We heat the area of the dent. Then, we go in from behind with a tool and push the metal to remove the dent.
